Néstor F. Marqués
Archaeologist, specialist in technology applied to heritage, teacher and cultural disseminator. His specialty is 3D virtualization.
He combines his technological work with historical and archaeological research, as well as technological and historical teaching. He works internationally virtualizing heritage in 3D with the highest quality and resolution through photogrammetry. In recent years it has focused especially on facilitating the access of researchers and the general public to museum collections through 3D models. From these he also develops strategies for universal accessibility by creating life-size, enlarged or reduced replicas of the pieces thanks to 3D printing.
He directs, as a success story that condenses his experience in the previous fields, the project for the cultural dissemination of the Roman world, Antigua Roma al Día (Ancient Rome a Day). With it, he makes known the culture of antiquity through technological resources -3D, 360º, live video… – on social networks: Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and on the web: antiguaroma.com.
